Got a mk1 tt on the way. So new subscriber 😊, But the remote central locking won’t work and when you try to lock it manually the alarm goes off. So car can’t be secured. Appreciate any ideas / direction to take ?

This job ruined me last night . 10 hours messing around , then to find out it has to come back off cause the seals were leaking 🤦‍♂️

Also best to cover drain hole with finger as oil tube removed. Gives you an extra second or two to position drain plug right beside your finger so no oil is lost

After sucessfully changing the blown dipped beam with improved bulbs I noticed both the front side lights we out. The bulb warning was not triggered like the dipped beam. It seems this is normal(?) Suggest everyone checks theirs. (H6W) Still under 40k on my 2006 1.8 2wd.

Glad I came across this. First time owner of a 1.8T (01 Beetle), previous owner attempted "the delete" on a lot of things. Broke the SAI, broke the connectors on the n249 and n75, most emission related hoses broken or rotted. I'll be running a Frankenturbo F21 so I think I'll be keeping the n249 and n75 in place until I can get a proper tune and reliable way to control boost.

I tried to bridge the connector as you did, but nothing happends. I have new fans, new controle module, new fuse box, all sensors new. But If I unplug the #16 fuse, the fans spinns. What now?

I managed to change mine without removing the caliper and disk. I removed the allen bolt, sprayed Plusgas all round the sensor. left it 15 mins. Then put a screwdriver in the bolt hole and wriggled it forcibly back and forth while yanking on the cable. Worth a try before removing the brakes.

Hopefully you still around. Ive had to change the clutch cylinder. Will the peddle stay up once u put it in or will it need bleed before it stay up on its own when pressed? Mine currently flips to the floor still after replacing the cylinder. Im hoping to bleed it tomorrow.

Whats the advantage from going from oem to trackslag or creation? Any performance increase?

Im trying to remove my turbo, bolt for the turbo support has snapped, how do you normally get around this problem to free the turbo from the bracket?

So it's basically an overly complicated blow off valve.

for me dont work low speed when open ac... if bridge wires on thermo switch work both high and low speed also work if remove fuse 16...im change already thermo switch and thermostat but is same no fans with ac..what need change next?only resistor mode can fix it?
